Biafra Day: International Community, Foreign Observers To Monitor Sit-At-Home – IPOB

 The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has announced that the international community and other foreign observers have been delegated to monitor the May 30 sit-at-home order it declared in honour of fallen heroes of Biafra during the civil war between 1967 and 1970.

The IPOB said there would be total restriction of movement because the international community and foreign observers would be in Biafraland with their media team to ascertain if the people of Biafra were ready for the upcoming referendum for Biafra sovereignty.

In a statement by the Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, IPOB said under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu it remained a peaceful and non-violent organisation in the history of freedom fighting across the globe.

It said this will continue following the rules provided by the United Nations Charter for the rights of the indigenous people.

IPOB said, “We are advising Biafrans, both home and abroad to observe the remembrance day celebration of our fallen heroes and heroines who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our people to live today in Nigeria.

“The May 30 sit-at-home and remembrance day celebration will be a remarkable event in the history of Biafra.

“We are going to maintain the peaceful approach in pursuit of our freedom from Nigeria. The Biafra liberation movement is sacrosanct and we are waxing stronger both at home and diaspora and will not go back in the quest for the restoration of Biafra.

“Anybody who is thinking to sabotage the struggle is doing that at his or her own detriment, the conditional bail attached to our leader was to cage him and to dampen the high spirits of IPOB family members worldwide,” Powerful stated.

They however, frowned at the continued detention of Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawuisi, Bright Chimezie, George Onyeibe and other members in different Nigeria prisons in Igweocha in River State, Delta State, Anambra State, Akwa Ibom State, Abia State and Abuja.

“We blame the judicial commission and Attorney General of the Federation for allowing Justice Binta Nyako to continue messing up the judicial system in Nigeria.

“The Attorney General of the Federation should have dropped all the concocted and fabricated charges preferred against our leader, Nnamdi Kanu and others remanded in prison to save their image in the face of the international community.

“It is very appalling that a well trained judge like Justice Binta Nyako would allow herself and the court to be used to bar Kanu from exercising his fundamental human rights.

“However, the continued detention of these people in different prisons and DSS secret cells across the country remained the weakness on the side of the Judicial Commission and Attorney General of the Federation.

“It is very abnormal that the Judicial Service Commission and judiciary in Nigeria that suppose to be the last hope for the common man would turn themselves to be problem for the masses.

“With the judgment on April 25, 2017 banning our leader from speaking to the press and staying with more than 10 persons, proves to the world that the judiciary in Nigeria is where truth can never prevail.

“According to the information reaching us, those our members detained in different prisons and secret cells across the country are no more safe, almost all of them are sick without proper medical attention, especially those in Kuje prison.

“We are calling for their immediate release to enable them take proper medical treatment because we will not take it easy with anybody if anything happens to any of our members in detention anywhere in the country.

“We are calling on men and women of good conscience across the globe, Amnesty International and relevant human rights organisations to prevail on the Attorney General of the Federation and the Judicial Service Commission to drop the concocted and fabricated charges preferred against our leader Nnamdi Kanu and others detained illegally alongside him in Kuje Prison because they committed no offence against anybody or Nigeria.

“The injustice against the people of Biafra in Nigeria are numerous to mention, IPOB, under the leadership of Kanu have decided to fight it to a standstill.

“Of course, many are aware that this is a project of God Almighty (Chukwu Okike Abiama) which IPOB embarked upon to liberate our people from the shackles of bondage.”

 It is very unfortunate that the Nigeria government has refused to appreciate the fact that Biafrans are always calm and peaceful in whatever predicament we find ourselves despite the incessant frustrations, marginalisation and killings.

 I and Mazi Kenneth Ogani, the IPOB Abuja coordinator arrived at Kuje prisons at exactly 10:07am on May 10, 2017, to pay homage to our beloved brothers and co-defendants to IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu who are still being detained. However, funny enough, the Kuje prison officers asked us about our letters, which left us totally confused. We asked them  what the letters have to do with our visit, and they replied and said that our questions simply means; we have not been at the prisons for a very long period of time, as the order has been cemented for only Benjamin, David and Chidiebere for sometimes now.

 We went further to ask them whether the said order is also made for all the inmates or for only the Biafra activists; they vividly replied: "Other inmates have nothing to do with that, we are only notified of Benjamin, David and Chidiebere and that order has not yet changed."

 After some series of interrogation with them, the man who is an Igbo speaking Biafran in position of the form said: "My brother forgets about Nigeria ooo! this Nigeria is terribly out of law."

 As we waited, one of the defense counsels to the detained activists, Barr. Adoga arrived Kuje prison,we greeted and he told us that there is no way the prison authorities will permit our entering.

 He also revealed that the reason why he came is because of the worrisome restrictions pertaining to his client's freedom of homage. He further show us some documents which he intends to present to the prison authorities, seeking for the absolute transfer of all the activists to either Enugu, Portharcourt  or any of the prisons in Biafraland.

 The need for the transfer according to Barr. Adoga is that,they are being treated as a non-indigenes which they truly are, and restricting their fundamental rights which may led to their death if care is not taken.
 
There is need for Biafrans and friends of Biafrans to raise alarm to the public,international communities and right groups to take immediate action before things gets out of hand, because I can see the danger of possible assassination of these activists secretly by every possible means. We can never fold our arms while the zoo stampede on our rights, and kill our gallant warriors with impunity. The worldwide must note this anarchy, injustice melted on Biafrans.
  Enough is enough!

 Former Vice President, Chief Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Wednesday, assured of his fatherly support to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

 Ekwueme made the pledge when the IPOB leader visited him at his Enugu residence, with a promise that he would listen to advice from the elder statesman.

 Kanu has since he was released being paying thank-you visit to prominent persons and organizations, with a vow that he would never give up on Biafra.

He had told Ekwueme that “I have come to tell you that we find you invaluable in our advancement of our people and in our course also to make life better for the public and for the masses.

“So, I am humbled and delighted to be here and also to bring you up to speed as to what we have been doing, what motivated me; what motivated the IPOB to do what we have been doing.

“It is more or less today an expression, a political expression to the yearnings and aspirations of the society; that’s what we are trying to do.

“The sum total of the struggle by the IPOB, which I’m leading is to ensure that there is dignity of life.

“And for us to fulfill that very mandate, we must be diligent, we must be focused, we must be sincere.

“So, I have come here to brief my father as to why we‎ do what we do and to get his blessings; anything he tells me is what we are going to do, in so far as it advances our political course as a people.”

Responding, Ekwueme said it was a pleasure receiving the IPOB leader after all his travails, stressing “I thank God that he is free and able to move around.”

 
 
 “I will make my best counsel available to him in his very onerous task of leading an organization that is committed to bringing justice and equity among people, especially for our people”, he added.

 DAILY POST recalls that the IPOB leader had on Monday visited several persons and groups in Enugu, including the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA.

 The former Vice President, Ekwueme, is a patron of the ‎ECA.

 Owerri--The Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha is in panic as Biafrans are set to mark this year's 30th May Heroes Day by observing the 'sit at home' order from the arrow head of the indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

 It was gathered that Rochas Okorocha summoned all the market leaders in Douglas House with respect to this issue and that it is a very big burden to him, considering that he is the APC stooge planted by Muhammadu Buhari to Islamize and enslave Biafrans in the region.

 He threatened to deal with the leaders of various markets in the state if they dare observe the 30th May Biafran Heroes Day, which brings me to this question; is Rochas Okorocha trying to tell us that the death of our fallen heroes of the 1966-70 war of attrition means nothing to him? Does it not prove that Okorocha is not a full fledge Igbo Biafran as Nnamdi Kanu has always voiced out on Radio Biafra? What is his business if Biafrans decide to close shops, considering that majority that will be sitting at home are not government workers under his payroll that he can impose such sanctions on?

One of those in the meeting who does not want his identity revealed due to security reason, told BIAFRA WRITERS that “the meeting was called yesterday (9th May) in Government house. The Governor warned us to stay away from IPOB 30th May sit-at-home exercise, hence face severe sanctions. He went as far as threatening to relieve us of our various executive positions if any market unit observes the 30th May exercise. This is worrisome to us as we are Biafrans and those to honour on that very day are our fallen heroes. What we don’t understand is the reason behind the governor's decision to stand against Biafra 30th May sit at home”.

When asked if the threat from the state government will affect the 30th May exercise in Imo State, he said “you don’t expect his threat to impact on anything. Everyone in the market is already preparing for the sit at home order. If we could observe the event last year when Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was still in detention, how much more now he is in Biafraland. We will observe it, there is No going back.”

We the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) in Imo state, Biafraland are currently carrying out an intensive awareness campaign to various local government with respect to the sit at home order.  He was an American. Bruce Mayrock. Born on the 6th of May 1949, 68 years ago, yet for the love of humanity and Biafrans, he sacrificed his life at the tender age of twenty.

 Many youths at that time were in the prime of youthful exuberance and boyish escapades, but this young man in the bid to draw attention to the ongoing genocide against Biafrans set himself ablaze in front of United Nations office, pleading earnestly that they save the lives of millions of  Biafran children, women, and men being massacred by the Nigerian evil state and their British ally. He was a very compassionate young American who never had any contact with Africa, nor with Biafrans whom, he died for.

 He aroused such emotions, yet after all these years, United Nations, Ecowas, African Union, have not done anything to address the plight of the bastardized Biafrans in Nigeria for which this young man died?

 Again, the occasion has arisen to correct past mistakes done to the indigenous people of Biafra, and the struggle as led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and avert future misdeeds. Yet, the world powers are still looking the other way. So we ask, why is it so? Why are they turning blind eyes when injustice and crime against humanity is being perpetrated against the innocent and helpless people?

 Why did they allow Brexit, for the British government to leave the European union? Currently, Scotland is agitating for a second referendum, yet Biafrans are not allowed to exercise their right to self-determination? Why was Cremea also granted the referendum that led her exit out of Ukraine?

 How, and why is the  Biafran self-determination bid tagged by BBC as secession? Why is the British exit from the EU or the Scotland move to be an independent state not termed secession? We are asking these question because it amounts to a great injustice to Biafra's peaceful demand of her legal rights. There is no difference between what Biafrans are asking for and what Scotland and Creamea asked for and got.

 Biafra predates Nigeria, and there is no justification in a white man coming all the way from Europe to create a nation by forcefully amalgamating people of diverse culture and value system.  How can a white European be the foundation of a black African race?

 Nigeria is a concoction brewed under deceit and fraud. This is an ill-conceived union and is not and has never been acceptable by our people. Little wonder, she is characterized by corruption, perdition, suppression and all degrees of oppression.

 We will continue to resist this forced marriage until the world sees the reason to dissolve it for good. This concoction is not working instead, it bequeaths pain, penury, and persecution to her unfortunate occupants. We want out!

 After all these years that Biafrans have been subjected to all manner of ethnic cleansing and genocide, we assume that you, the United Nations, ECOWAS, African Union are blind, deaf and dumb to the events happening around you. Biafrans have for a certainty brought the truth to the limelight; to your door steps, exposing the hidden history of our plight in this God forsaken contraption of evil Britain called Nigeria.

 All we are requesting, therefore, is that you set the stage for justice. Honor our request for a referendum as was given Britain in the EU and to Scotland. Give us a platform to make our choice. You promulgated the charter on the rights of the Indigenous Peoples to self-determination, why do you allow Africans to kill each other before implementing the law you passed.

 If you actually believe in your charter, do practice what you preach!

It has come to the notice of Family Writers Press (FWP) of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on the recent propaganda mechanisms of All Progressive Congress (APC) in which they made a publication of delusion to Nigerians in general and Biafrans in particular and other auxiliary media blackmails targeted against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the supreme leader of IPOB, whose bail conditions granted to him barred him from making press statement or interviews for now, this situation is making some Biafrans to begin to doubt Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's stance on Biafra restoration struggle because Nnamdi Kanu has not openly issued press statement to counter the media blackmail orchestrated by APC Nigeria government. Family Writers Press (FWP) eagle-eye journalists which are in every part of Biafraland and beyond are bringing serious reports on the news desk of Family Writers that the malicious publications of APC propaganda machine and other auxiliary publications of brown envelop Nigeria media houses has done a serious damage to the psyche of gullible Biafrans on the true position of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on Biafra restoration.

However, Family Writers Press (FWP) a trusted and dependable Biafra media outlet now, before, during and after the unlawful arrest and detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is by this press release quashing and trashing all malicious and deceitful publications against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, which has said or will later say that he (Nnamdi Kanu) is dumping Biafra restoration for politics in Nigeria. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who nearly sacrificed his life for Biafra restoration when Nigeria DSS arrested him and threatened to kill him if he refused to denounce Biafra, but chose to die than to denounce Biafra, is not ready to denounce Biafra till tomorrow not even now when he has invariably regained his freedom.

However, as Nigerian government failed woefully when they used Vanguard Newspaper to fabricate the lies of RE-IPOB and TR-IPOB in conjunction with MEND and Charles Okah of Kuje prison against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, so Nigerian government is still bound to fail once again.

It is upon this ground that Family Writers Press is calling on Biafrans all over the world in general and Biafrans residing in Biafraland in particular to as a matter of urgency eschew listening to Nigeria brown envelop media outlets of shame which only deceive their Nigerian audience but to make Biafra media outlets such as Radio Biafra, Biafra TV, Family Writers Press, Biafra Herald, Biafra Post, Biafra Times and Biafra Telegraph their destination of news hunting or risk being deceived by media delusions which Nigeria government always pay hugely to make such publications. If you disconnect yourself from Biafra media outlets, you have intentionally made yourself intellectually dwarf who is expected to be tossed about by all winds of media delusions.

Family Writers Press is categorically making Biafrans to know that Nnamdi Kanu is more committed to Biafra restoration now than even in October 2015 when he was unlawfully arrested and detained by DSS. The fact that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has not spoken publicly to address Biafrans is in keeping to the court read out bail conditions which stipulated that he will not issue press statement for now but that does not change his position on Biafra.

Family Writers also noticed that some gullible Biafrans and some mischievous Nigerians are asking that "if Nnamdi Kanu has shifted ground in Biafra restoration, why did he accept such bail conditions"? Family Writers is by this press release putting the record straight to the world that Nnamdi Kanu can never capitulate or shift ground in restoring Biafra.

Nnamdi Kanu is a man who believes in the principle of natural justice and cannot join Gen Buhari of Nigeria in disobeying court verdicts. That was why after legal consideration he decides not to reject the court bail even with the obnoxious conditions, and now that he has signed his bail, it will be suicidal in the realm of justice for Nnamdi Kanu to disobey court verdict he accepted. Please Biafrans, make no mistake about it, disobedience to court orders is part of what kept President Buhari of Nigeria in the sorry conditions he found himself today. Nnamdi Kanu does not want to join Gen Buhari as stubborn grass-hopper disobeying court.

Conclusively, Family Writers want to assure Biafrans that Nnamdi Kanu is seriously making diplomatic moves towards Biafra restoration off the media and need the support of all Biafrans. God bless Biafrans!
